CULTURE HEALTH

Culture is not a soft metric. It is the operating system everything else runs on.

Most leaders don’t realize their culture is costing them until it’s already showing up in burnout, silos, and missed goals. Even well-meaning efforts like engagement surveys often lead to... nothing.

That’s why we created the Culture Health Scorecard—a fast, data-backed way to spot cultural issues before they become costly. It gives you clear insight into what’s driving (or draining) your team's performance so you can make smarter decisions about leadership, communication, and strategy.

LEADERSHIP LANDSCAPE

Leadership isn't one-size-fits-all. So why hire and develop it that way?

Your managers aren't interchangeable. Knowing the type of leaders and managers you have, or need, means you can tailor their development and put the right people in the right roles.

The Leadership Landscape Assessment provides the necessary insight into your Leadership Landscape for your current leaders and leadership needs. This intelligence can make all the difference in finding, matching, and building to reach your goals. Using a one-size-fits-all way of finding and developing leaders is the randomized approach that gets random results that costs time and money.

SCALING AND GTM

Are you growing or are you stalling?

Early success can create hidden barriers to future growth. The skills, instincts, and problem-solving that got you here may not be enough to scale. Sustainable growth requires a different foundation, strategy, and go-to-market approach that runs alongside your core business.

To reach the next level, businesses need clarity on where they are today, what capabilities must be built, and how to position themselves in the market. Without that foundation, growth can stall or strain the business beyond its capacity.

Book a 30 minute Discovery Call to discuss your GTM and Scaling plans and assess where you are and if you are ready to get where you want to go.

We help Leaders assess and develop the right plan and foundation to get to the next stage.

Common Questions

Questions leaders ask before we start.

What the work is, how it runs, and who it is for.

About the firm

What does Roger Young Leadership Group do?

Roger Young Leadership Group works with founders, executives, and leadership teams on two connected problems: leadership that scales people, and strategy that scales revenue. The work spans executive coaching, leadership masterminds and workshops, a data-backed measure of organizational culture, and go-to-market and scaling advisory. The firm is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Who is Roger Young?

Roger Young has spent more than 25 years turning strong individual performers into leaders. He has held senior operating roles at Microsoft, Dell, and Cisco, and has built and scaled nine startups across four continents. At two separate Fortune 50 companies he scaled a SaaS division from $1.2B to $3.1B in annual recurring revenue and launched a new division that grew 75 percent faster than its target. He is a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Trainer, and Speaker, and a DISC-certified consultant.

What makes this different from other leadership coaching?

Three things. The work happens in the room rather than on video, built around people in the same space working on their own business out loud. The principles come from outside your industry, proven in Fortune 50 operating roles and nine startups and then translated to your world. And every session produces a one-page tool the participant fills in and keeps, so people leave with a system they can use rather than inspiration that fades.

The programs

What coaching and workshop options are available?

There are five, and each one stands on its own. Working Sessions are a focused 45 to 60 minute session with your team built around a single tool. Workshops run a half day, a full day, or a short series. The Mastermind is the flagship: an ongoing leadership group of eight to fifteen peers meeting twice a month, one of those in person, opening with a six-week foundation phase. The Embedded Leadership Partner is a monthly rhythm of group sessions across your organization plus a Mastermind cohort for its leaders. Executive Coaching is one-on-one, in 90-day, 6-month, and 12-month engagements, with a DiSC behavioral profile included.

What is the Culture Health Scorecard?

It is the firm's signature diagnostic. It measures ten attributes of organizational culture and delivers them through the OrgIQ platform, giving leaders a clear, reportable picture of where their culture is strong, where it is exposed, and what the data says about leadership performance at every level. Separate scores for team engagement and leadership effectiveness give a complete view of organizational health, and the scorecard can be run on a regular cadence to track whether investments in people are moving the needle.

What is the Leadership Landscape Assessment?

It identifies the types of leaders and managers you currently have and the types you need. Managers are not interchangeable, so knowing your leadership landscape lets you tailor development and put the right people in the right roles, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach that produces random results.

What is the GTM and Scaling Assessment?

A structured, full-day diagnostic of your go-to-market engine. The RYLG team pressure-tests five dimensions that determine whether a business can scale: Process, Pipeline, Predictability, Performance, and People. Each is scored with you from 1, meaning founder-driven and inconsistent, to 5, meaning scalable and transferable. It runs in three steps: a complimentary discovery call, a full-day assessment session with your leadership team, and a written readout with your maturity scorecard and the three priorities that will move the needle most over the next 90 days.

How much does the GTM and Scaling Assessment cost?

Between $2,500 and $5,000. Final scope and pricing depend on the size of your company and the depth of work required, and are determined together on your discovery call. Structure, cadence, and investment for coaching, mastermind, and workshop engagements are set directly with you.

Working together

Who does RYLG work with?

Franchise and multi-unit operators, real estate teams and brokerages, healthcare, trades, PE-backed companies, and tech startups. The methodology stays the same across industries; the language and examples are tuned to yours. The firm works with leaders at organizations including Chick-fil-A, Compass Real Estate, Microsoft, BX Partners, Bastionne, and Chesapeake Professional Development Group.

How does an engagement start?

With a complimentary discovery call. It runs about 30 minutes, at no cost and with no obligation. It is a direct conversation about your team and what you are building, used to confirm fit and define scope. If an engagement is not the right fit, you will still leave the call knowing more about your organization than you did before it.

Is the work delivered in person or remotely?

In person is central to how the work is designed. Most development programs are delivered on video; this work is built around people in the same space. The Mastermind meets twice a month with one of those meetings in person, and the GTM and Scaling Assessment is a full-day working session with your leadership team in the room. The firm is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and works with organizations beyond it.
